ROC Ministries is a non-denominational ministry to Ashland & area youth:
A safe gathering place for youth, sponsored by the Ashland area churches;
by community leaders and others - with no "agenda" other than meeting
our communities' youth "where they are at", listening & providing support,
as they grow in their journey towards becoming adults in the community.

The staff is made up of volunteers from supporters & volunteers
from Ashland NE area churches and the community at large.

We are called to be Radically Obedient to GOD.
To challenge, equip and encourage today's YOUTH to do the
same and to be the unique people that GOD called them to be.
MISSION STATEMENT
There are 8 scripture based principles that guide ROC Ministries

LIVE OUT THE EXAMPLE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

Our Story . . . beginning about 4 - 5 years ago:
PHASE 1
Encouraging & teaching youth to radically follow Christ
by unleashing their God given gifts and talents
PHASE 2
Weekend Retreats (worship & praise) Activities:
Prayer, Strategic Planning, the opportunity to build Mission
and Purpose to reach others with the Gospel of Christ
Part of the Strategic Planning included the establishment
of ROC MINISTRIES, Inc. as a non-profit corporation
& the IRS recognition as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt entity.
PHASE 3
Create a safe place Youth Center for kids of the community.
A place where we can have youth oriented Christian events,
a place where kids can hang out safely with their freinds,
and a place for regular Bible Studies for the kids.
WHERE WE ARE in 2010:
The Lord blessed us with a gathering place . .
a real live Youth Center . . a place to gather,
We have a safe place to fellowship, to pray & to study
We opened in late 2007 - located in the heart of downtown
Historic Ashland adjacent to Breadeaux Pizza.
ROC MINISTRIES is totally dependent on YOUR SUPPORT
* * * * Can you ? - will you ? volunteer an evening - 2 - 3 hours -
a week - each month - to help the youth of your community of Ashland NE
* * * * In this 2009 year & time of family stress - parents & single parents
are faced with the need to work long hours, travel for their jobs,
work an extra job . . . just to make ends meet . . . or are looking for work;
many Ashland area "kids". children, youth are truly alone.
* * * * YOUR child, grandchild, nephew or niece, your neighbor's
child . . may be in need of someone just to talk with - to understand
the things going on at school, in their homes, in their daily lives.
* * * * JUST MAYBE . . that child needs your mentoring or tutoring
in a subject they are having trouble with in school
- that you & your work of life experience would be invaluable.
* * * * Many of these kids - children - youth are struggling with questions of faith.
Some come from homes where there is little or no encouragement to
learn about faith, to learn who Jesus is, what Jesus means in their lives.
* * * * Could you - WOULD you share your journey in faith ? ?
'That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe with your heart
that God raised him (Jesus) from the dead, you will be saved.' Romans 10: 9
A "kid", a child, a youth in the Ashland area needs you to share this message.
Will you be the one who shares it with him or her ?
We have heard for years that "a mind is a terrible thing to waste"
Our community's "kids", children - our youth - are our future.
In 2009 this, has particular meaning to our children in the Ashland comunity.
